The 14th edition of the Miramar Latin Music Festival lands on Saturday, September 19, at the amphitheater inside Miramar Regional Park, 16801 Miramar Parkway. The city greets the start of Hispanic Heritage Month with a free evening of salsa, merengue, bachata and cumbia, and the lawn fills with the neighbors who make up the rhythm of this corner of Broward. For families who want a night out without a long drive, this is the anchor plan of the weekend.

A free lineup that carries the night

The festival is free, and the bill runs through the evening with Kinito Mendez, Tony Vega, Isairis, Karolina con K and Nando Boom sharing the stage, hosted by Commissioner Yvette Colbourne. Families can bring the same lawn chairs they keep in the trunk for the weekend games, claim a spot in the grass and let the music set the pace. The amphitheater does the rest: it is open air, it faces a field, and the evening weather in September stays comfortable.

Parking, food and the timing that works

Admission is free. Parking at the venue runs about ten dollars, and registering ahead of time through the Eventbrite page under the name Miramar Latin Music Festival locks in the lower prepaid rate. The music runs from 7 at night until 11, food is sold at the park, and the amphitheater sits inside a large regional park with room for children to move. Arriving before the first set stretches the evening without wearing anyone out.
