The 13th annual South Florida Seafood Festival takes over Wynwood Marketplace on Sunday, November 8, from 11 in the morning to 7 at night, at 2250 Northwest 2nd Avenue in Miami. The festival brings together seafood vendors serving paella, stone crabs, oysters, lobster, ceviche and crab legs, along with live cooking demonstrations, cocktails and entertainment. General admission is ticketed, and food is purchased separately from the vendors.

A Sunday for the senses

Wynwood's open-air marketplace is a fitting home for the festival, with its colorful walls and communal tables. Families can wander between stalls, watch a cooking demo, and settle in for a long, unhurried afternoon. The festival runs all day, so there is time to taste a little of everything and still enjoy the neighborhood around it.

Miami's weekend rhythm

A seafood festival in the heart of Wynwood shows how Miami fills its weekends with food, art and people. When you are deciding where to live, the way a city gathers matters. The practical questions about Miami, the commute, the schools and what a home buys you, become easier to answer after a Sunday spent tasting the city.
