The Miami Food Festival returns for its seventh edition on Sunday, November 15, from 11 in the morning to 11 at night at Miccosukee Casino and Resort, 500 Southwest 177th Avenue in Miami. The festival spreads across the Raccoon Lot with food vendors serving cuisines from across the Americas and beyond, live performances on stage and cultural programming through the day. Admission is free, which makes the day an easy family outing.

A full day of flavors, ticket-free

Food festivals work best when the whole family can wander, and this one is built that way: no gate, no ticket, just rows of vendors, music and open space. The long hours from morning to night mean families can come for lunch, stay through the afternoon performances, or arrive later when the evening crowd settles in. Between the dishes and the stage, the day reads as a relaxed tour of the region's kitchens.

A taste of the community Miami lives in

West Miami-Dade is where the city's food traditions meet, and the festival's location near the Everglades puts it within a reasonable drive of Homestead, Cutler Bay and Kendall. For families new to the area, a day of vendors is a practical way to learn what the community cooks and celebrates. Bring cash for the vendors, arrive early for parking, and let the day introduce the flavors that define South Florida.
