Luminosa: Miami Reimagined in Light returns to Jungle Island on Watson Island, opening Friday, November 13, and running through Sunday, January 10. The walk-through experience lights a 1.35-mile path with more than 43,000 LEDs arranged across seven themed zones inspired by the city, from Little Havana to the beach. Jungle Island sits at 1111 Parrot Jungle Trail in Miami, a short drive from downtown and the causeway.

A holiday walk that moves at a family pace

The path takes most visitors about an hour to an hour and a half, with no rush built into the route. Sunday through Thursday it runs from 5:30 to 9:30 at night, and Friday and Saturday until 10:30, with last admission an hour before close. Tickets are sold by date and entry time, which spreads the crowds and keeps the walk comfortable for strollers and wheelchairs alike.

A Miami way to start the holiday season

Luminosa opens the same weekend the city's holiday calendar turns, and its Miami-themed zones make it distinct from a traditional lights display. For families in Homestead, Pinecrest and Cutler Bay, the drive up the causeway is part of the evening, with the skyline crossing the bay on the way home. Book the entry time that fits the family's evening, and let the lights introduce the season.
