A farmers market is one of the best ways to feel a South Florida community: the produce reflects the season, the vendors reflect the neighborhood, and the pace is slow enough for a family to wander. Across Miami-Dade and Broward, the markets below run on regular schedules and are worth building a weekend around.

In the Redland and Homestead

Redland Market Village on South Dixie Highway has been family-owned since 1987, with a farmers market during the week and a combined flea and farmers market on weekends. It is the Redland's own gathering place, where tropical fruit, produce, and local goods share the space, and it gives visitors a real sense of the area's agricultural heart.

South Dade favorites

Pinecrest Gardens hosts a farmers market every Sunday morning on Red Road, with fresh produce, flowers, and food vendors set against the garden itself. In Palmetto Bay, the farmers market at Coral Reef Park runs on Saturday mornings, an easy stop for families who want produce and playground time in the same trip.

Miami's organic market

The Coconut Grove Organic Farmers Market on Grand Avenue has been run by Glaser Organic Farms since the early 1980s, every Saturday from mid-morning to early evening, rain or shine. It is one of the city's longest-running markets and a pleasant walk for families exploring the Grove.

Broward's big one

Yellow Green Farmers Market in Hollywood is open Saturdays and Sundays year-round, with around 300 vendors under one roof. It is less a market and more a weekly town square, with produce, prepared food, crafts, and room for children to move. For Broward families it is the anchor market, and for visitors it is worth the drive.

A market visit before you choose

When you are choosing a neighborhood, visit its market on a weekend morning. You will see the families, the pace, and the character of the community faster than any listing can show you. Nanci can tell you which markets sit near the communities she serves, and which neighborhoods feel like home the moment you arrive.
