Pembroke Pines opens the third edition of its Hispanic Heritage Festival on Saturday, September 26, from 5 to 9 in the evening at Charles F. Dodge City Center, 601 City Center Way. The plaza becomes a street fair of music, food stalls and artisan tables, with the city center lawn as the gathering point. Entry is free and the open lawn holds the west side of Broward easily.

The city center that becomes a plaza

The Dodge City Center hosts the biggest civic nights of Pembroke Pines, and a festival in its third year proves the city keeps showing up for its amenities. Music carries until nine, the food lines shorten when the evening cools, and families from Miramar, Southwest Ranches and Davie make it over easily. It is a fine reason to test the size and the community of the city if a move to western Broward is on the table.
