The City of Homestead's free karaoke night returns to Losner Park on Friday, November 6, from 6 to 9 at night. Held on the first Friday of each month under the city's Discover Homestead banner, the evening invites anyone to take the microphone and sing favorite songs in downtown Homestead. It is a family-friendly, low-key way to start the weekend in the heart of the city.

Take the mic, or just listen

The beauty of a park karaoke night is that participation is optional: singers get their moment on the mic, and everyone else settles onto the lawn to listen, cheer and enjoy the downtown evening. Losner Park sits at 104 North Krome Avenue, steps from Homestead's shops and restaurants, so the night pairs easily with dinner before or after. Arrive early to grab a good spot on the grass.

A first Friday habit

Because the karaoke night returns the first Friday of every month, it is the kind of event families can build into a routine: dinner downtown, a few songs, and a walk home through the historic streets. For anyone new to Homestead, it is also a friendly introduction to the city's small-town character. Bring a blanket, warm up the vocal cords, and let the neighborhood do the rest.
