The city of Hollywood stages its Hispanic Heritage Festival on Saturday, October 10, at ArtsPark at Young Circle in the center of downtown Hollywood. Live Latin music and folkloric dance performances share the park with an art and cultural village, youth showcases and a marketplace of Hispanic-owned vendors, and the whole afternoon and evening are free. The festival is one of the city's biggest signature events of the year, and it draws families from across Broward's coast.

An afternoon that grows into an evening

The festival runs from 2 to 8 at night, which gives families room to come early for the market and stay for the music as the circle fills up. The village and the marketplace reward a slow visit, and the dance side of the program grows louder toward the end of the afternoon. For families new to Hollywood, the circle at Young Circle is the address to know: the arts park anchors the city's free events all year.
